14th Dec 09 (Mon)
arrived church at 6pm and checked in... met johnL, ben and darrenF and had dinner... mixed rice -__-". had a briefing on info for the next few days and had our own free time for the rest of the night. i guess there wasnt much on the first night.

15th Dec 09 (Tues)
played angel and mortal and went through another message on what are we supposed to do as priests on this earth. played loads of games such as pass the parcel and designing of our game-group flag.

16th Dec 09 (Wed)
had a workshop on how to study the bible and played treasure hunt/amazing race at night. man, ryan and timL were scary lol!!! :D

17th Dec 09 (Thurs)
we had a message today on 'the role and reponsibilities of a priest'(Romans 12: 1-8)

1)Required Sacrifice-YOU

Romans 12:1-2

• the 2 verses tell us to actually be the LIGHT of this world... and not part of it
• live ONLY for God
• He will then exalt you

2)Required Outlook-Lowliness

Romans 12:3

• We must adopt a stance of submission to everyone else
• God only gives grace to the humble
• Only truth works and counts
• we are sinners saved by grace as we only contribute sins to our salvation
• thus, we ourselves are the worst sinners we know

3)The Required Teamwork

Romans12:4-5

• God gave us different gifts in order to work together hand in hand as christians
• thus, we should not be envious of one another's gifts and appreciate our own

4)The Required Effort

Romans 12:6-8/ 1 Corinthians 12:7

• Serve God with EVERYTHING we have
• most imptly, for God's sake NOT personal pleasure

5)The Required Prerequisite

Romans 12:9/1 Corinthians 12:14-31

• We must be love sincerely/genuinely
• attracting a talent with no love would make one an irritant
• speak with love or else we are NOTHING...

had a wonderful BBQ night with my church'mates cooking beef bulogi(if thats how you spell it) and marshmallows apart form the chicken wings and sausages.

was pissed with some of the ppl there... oh well no one's perfect. :(

18th Dec 09 (Fri)
last day... :(

cleaned up the dorms and went home.

this is my first church camp and i wanna say that its been super thrilling and i had a wonderful experience with all my church'mates (though i was a lil' piss at some of them). i really felt that there was a bond that was really special among all of us and the messages were very constructive to our daily lives so... thank God for this YF camp'09. :D

will upload photos some other day but for now... adidos!!! :D
